Penticton-Summerland voters have one final chance to vote early
Advance turnout is down 8% from two years ago, with 15,651 ballots cast and about one-third of registered voters already voting.
Advance voting for the Penticton-Summerland provincial election concluded with 15,651 ballots cast, representing about 33.3 per cent of the riding's 47,001 registered voters.
The 33.3 per cent provincial advance turnout exceeds the 32 per cent recorded in Penticton's previous municipal election, while Summerland saw about 44 per cent in that same contest.
Four candidates are on the ballot: Bradley Bartsch for the Green Party, Tina Lee for the NDP, Tracy St. Claire for the Conservative, and Warren Hamm for OneBC.
Polling stations for the general election open tomorrow, Saturday, Oct. 24, at 8 a.m., with 14 voting locations across the riding including Columbia Elem School and Naramata Elem School.
Unlike advance voting's flexible locations, voters will have an assigned polling station on election day, with all sites open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
