Pedestrian injured in Wythe County crash

A 2005 Chevrolet S10 was heading westbound on Route 619 when it came upon a truck and trailer that was stopped, partially in the roadway. The driver of the S10 moved partially into the opposite lane to go around the truck, but the pedestrian who was working on the vehicle stepped backward. The pedestrian, Corey L. Gravely, 29, of Wythe County, suffered serious injuries and was taken to a hospital.
