- On Wednesday, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, represented by Vice President Kashim Shettima, commissioned the Arterial Road N5, or Obafemi Awolowo Way, connecting Life Camp Junction to Ring Road III in Abuja.
- FCT Minister Nyesom Wike noted the project is part of a 31-day inauguration program marking the administration's third anniversary, highlighting that infrastructure delivery has increased steadily since the government took office.
- Contractor Julius Berger Plc completed the six-lane dual carriageway within record time, as Wike defended the FCT Administration's handling of compensation for affected property owners.
- The President urged residents and business owners to fulfill civic obligations by paying taxes and land fees, stating that such compliance provides the FCT Administration funds to build more roads.
- Part of the Renewed Hope Agenda, the project significantly reduces travel time and improves connectivity among districts like Karmo, Gwarinpa, and Idu, ultimately aiming to transform Abuja into a model capital city.
