Arab Parties Ra'am, Joint List Soar to 17-18 Seats Amid High Turnout, Election Exit Polls Show
Exit polls show Arab parties gaining on record turnout as the opposition bloc leads Netanyahu’s camp without a majority.
On Tuesday, October 27, 2026, exit polls from Israel's 26th Knesset election showed the opposition bloc leading Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's camp with 52 or 53 seats, though neither side secured the 61 seats required for an outright majority.
This election, Israel's first since the October 7, 2023 Hamas massacre, centered on national security, the haredi draft, and ongoing conflicts against Hamas, Hezbollah, and Iran, pitting Netanyahu against challenger Eisenkot.
Arab voter participation surged to approximately 80%, contributing to a historic 77.7% national turnout, with exit polls projecting the Joint List and Ra'am to win a combined 17 or 18 seats in the 120-member Knesset.
Likud's election integrity headquarters claimed it received 620 reports of irregularities via over 1,500 representatives, though Ra'am rejected these as baseless, alleging political exploitation by National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir.
With no bloc securing the 61 seats needed to govern, the Joint List and Ra'am could remain pivotal in determining a coalition, although parties allied with Likud have ruled out including Arab factions in government.
