The Parliament today rejected the PCP's proposal that the new organic law of the National Institute of Medical Emergency (INEM) should cease to apply, following the parliamentary assessment of the Government's decree-law adopted in May.
The termination of the INEM's organic law, in force since August, was rejected with votes against PSD, CDS-PP and IL. Opposition and Government exchanged accusations about the future of the institute.
Requests for parliamentary scrutiny from the left brought back to Parliament the government's diploma of the new organic law of INEM. Minister accused PS of leaving INEM in palliative care.
