CSUB's Parker wins Big West 200, second in 100; BC's Perez 5th in state steeplechase; CSUB baseball goes 1-2 at UCSB

Cal State Bakersfield freshman sprinter Makiah Parker won the 200 meters title and was runner-up in the 100-meter dash over the weekend at the Big West Conference Track and Field Championships at Long Beach State.

Parker Makes History at Big West Champs; Takes Home Two Medals - California State University at Bakersfield Athletics

Freshman Makiah Parker takes home gold in the women's 200m at the Big West Track & Field Championships. Parker also placed second overall in the women's 100m. Became the first freshman to take home an individual title.
