Panther runner earns gold medal

HAYS — Great Bend Panther Sydney Stein won the 800 meters (2:25.11) for the Panthers' lone first-place finish at Thursday's Jake Bowman Track Invitational. Panthers earning runner-up finishes were Tavon Stroup, 800 (2:01.26) and 1,600 (4:41.43); Decorah Schroeter, 1,600 (5:42.56); and Karys Leu, 200 (25.78).
