A year ago, the City Council had set up a budget which, despite large deficits, provided for almost two million euros less property tax revenues. As expected, the budget burst quickly. However, the Council still wanted to spare the citizens – and instead decided on a massive increase in the lifting rate for commercial property. Are citizens now being asked to pay more after protests from the economy?
