Power back on for nearly 2,300 Santee Cooper customers in Pawleys Island area

PAWLEYS ISLAND, S.C. (WBTW) -- Santee Cooper has restored service to nearly 2,300 customers who lost power for a short time Tuesday morning in the Pawleys Island area. The outage, which began at about 8 a.m., affected 2,263 customers mostly north of Vanderbilt Boulevard on both sides of Highway 17 between the Waccamaw River and the ocean. Service was restored shortly after 9 a.m.
