NEW PHILADELPHIA, Ohio (WJW) -- A pilot killed in an April 1 crash of a small plane in Tuscarawas County has been identified. Orville J. NEW PHILADELPHIA – Authorities have identified the pilot who was killed in an April 1st airplane crash in Mill Township. Tuscarawas County Coroner Jeff Cameron says 62-year-old Orville J. Evans of New Philadelphia was piloting the plane. He was pronounced dead at the scene. DNA testing confirmed his identity.
