SOUTHPORT, NC (WWAY) — Southport Cares, a local non-profit has an update on efforts to support those impacts by the mass shooting event from the end of September. As of Monday, the organization collected $242,237.26 in donations. They’ve sent out $232,595.82 in checks to support 34 families, wounded patrons and impacted employees.
