The Hungarian delegation, which was supposed to assess the condition of the damaged Druzhba pipeline in Ukraine, did not show up in its entirety – one of its members, a Ukrainian passport holder, withdrew from the trip for fear of conscription. The dispute over the pipeline is exacerbating tensions between Budapest and Kyiv.
The head of the Hungarian delegation said that self-proclaimed “inspectors” were not allowed to enter the Druzhba oil pipeline, but they received “new information”.
