CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (CBS19 SPORTS)-- Virginia softball closed out its weekend series with a sweep over Syracuse in five innings, 10-2.

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. - The Syracuse softball team (22-19, 3-15 ACC) dropped the final game of its series to Virginia (30-13, 11-7 ACC), 10-2, in five innings on Sunday at Palmer Park. The Orange got on the board for the first time all weekend with an RBI groundout from Angie Ramos and a sacrifice fly by Madelyn Lopez, but the Cavaliers pulled away to complete the series sweep.
