1 Person Dead in North York Encampment Fire
NORTH YORK, TORONTO, CANADA, JUL 3 – Flames up to 40 feet high and exploding propane tanks complicated firefighting efforts, with one fatality confirmed, authorities said.
One person has died after an encampment fire in North York, according to Toronto paramedics.
Fire Chief Jim Jessop reported flames reaching almost 40 feet high and several propane tanks exploded.
The fire started behind a building near Eglinton and Victoria Park avenues.
The origin of the fire is currently under investigation.
