PARK RIVER, N.D. (KVRR) — A Park River man is dead after crashing into a tree early Saturday morning. The North Dakota Highway Patrol says 60-year-old Roger Johnson was driving west on State Highway 17 around 5 a.m. When he was at the “Hoople turn”, about 7 east of Park River, he went off the road while going around a curve and hit a tree.
