On the 6th, the city of Nagoya announced that a female deer living in the moat of Nagoya Castle had died on the 5th. Two deer, believed to be a mother and child, named "Momiji-chan" and "Yamamura-chan," lived in the moat, and the deceased was the child, "Yamamura-chan." She was over 12 years old, and the cause of death is presumed to be old age. The city announced that the deer had been found in an external facility.
