One billion people in 43 countries are at risk of cholera, the United Nations (UN) warned Friday, and while the means to stop “this pandemic of the poor” are well known, resources are lacking for them to be implemented, AFP reports, according to Agerpres.
The UN warns of the risk of contracting cholera in 43 countries, whose disease is “particularly dangerous for children”. In 2023 alone, 24 countries reported cholera outbreaks.
