Taxi service vehicles will have to meet at least the Euro 6d emission standard from August next year, the city council of Prague has approved. The reason is the significant increase in the number of cars of this type.
From August next year, only vehicles that meet at least the Euro 6d emission standard will be allowed to operate as taxis in Prague. Only cars put into service from January 1, 2021 will definitely meet this standard. The relevant decree was approved by the capital's representatives today.
Prague city councilors have voted to regulate taxi services. From August 2027, only cars that meet the Euro 6d emission standard will be allowed to transport customers around the capital. The original proposal, which included mandatory electric cars from 2030, failed.
