Oklahoma election live results | Aug. 25, 2026
On Tuesday, Oklahomans headed to the polls for the primary runoff election, with the Republican gubernatorial race between Oklahoma Attorney General Gentner Drummond and former state Sen. Mike Mazzei emerging as the central contest.
Beyond the governor's race, voters decided nominees for the Republican state superintendent runoff between Robert Franklin and James Taylor, plus races for insurance commissioner, labor commissioner, and the Democratic U.S. Senate nomination.
State Question 844 appeared on the ballot, asking voters to change how local entities are reimbursed for manufacturing tax exemptions. Oklahoma State School Boards Association Executive Director Shawn Hime warned it "asks Oklahomans to give up a constitutional guarantee."
Voters resoundingly rejected State Question 846 on Tuesday, a proposal seeking to amend the Oklahoma Constitution to mandate voter identification; current statute already requires proof of identity.
Beyond statewide races, numerous municipal propositions and bonds appeared on the runoff ballots across Oklahoma, reflecting the breadth of local issues decided by voters.
