Oilers sign Mukhamadullin to two-year deal, Statsney to one-year deal
On Sunday, the Edmonton Oilers signed defenceman Shakir Mukhamadullin to a two-year contract extension, the NHL club announced.
Additionally, the Oilers signed defenceman Spencer Statsney to a one-year extension with an average annual value of $1.525 million.
Mukhamadullin was acquired in the trade sending defenceman Darnell Nurse to the San Jose Sharks, recording 12 points in 50 games for the Sharks last season.
The 26-year-old Statsney arrived from Nashville last season and totalled 10 points across 66 regular-season games during 2025-26.
Carrying an average annual value of US$1.75 million, the Mukhamadullin contract finalizes the defensive roster adjustments for the upcoming season.
