The government is proposing an increase in the corporate income tax rate for the largest energy and fuel companies, according to the draft bill published on Thursday. The corporate income tax rate for companies with revenues exceeding €50 million is to increase to 30% in 2027, from 19% currently. The Ministry of Finance has made no secret of the fact that this is aimed at improving the situation of public finances.
The Polish government would increase the corporate tax rate for large utility and fuel companies from the current 19 percent to 30 percent in 2027, the Polish state news agency PAP reported, citing legislative preparatory documents.
