The pain of sexual violence is deeply engraved in the hearts of victims. The wounds are hard to heal, and some people are driven to death, causing serious damage to their lives. One woman I met in a previous interview was still tormented by the abuse she suffered as a child, even in her 60s. She had been assaulted by a man who had followed her parents' teachings to be kind to people who were lost.
