Officers targeted by death threats after fatal police shooting of Montreal-area teen
Police on Montreal's South Shore arrested the 15-year-old suspect hours after opening an investigation into threats following Nooran Rezayi's killing on Sunday in Longueuil, Quebec.
Officers responded to a 911 call about armed youths in Longueuil, Quebec, where the police watchdog reported seizing a baseball bat after Nooran Rezayi, 15-year-old, was shot dead.
The watchdog reported the only firearm seized belonged to the officer who shot Rezayi, and the Montreal police force is conducting a parallel criminal investigation.
Late Wednesday, Longueuil police said the officer granted protective measures faces online threats while the arrested teenager was released under conditions linked to Rezayi's funeral in Brossard.
