- O2 is offering up to £1000 for old phones, tablets and devices via its O2 Recycle service, highlighted during International E-Waste Day as part of a revamped scheme.
- To mark International E-Waste Day, O2 said `there’s money to be made from the unwanted tech`, promoting recycling and cash incentives through the revamped scheme, Virgin Media O2's Dana Haidan explained.
- O2 lists top trade-in values that include Apple MacBook at £1000, Samsung Galaxy 2 Fold7 at £821, and Apple iPhone at £750; prices apply to fully working devices and O2 pays within 3 to 5 days.
- Non-O2 customers can use the O2 Recycle service and trade in up to five devices by selecting them on the O2 website, receiving an estimate, then posting with free postage to claim cash or discounts.
- Since 2009, O2 Recycle has recycled over 4 million devices, distributed more than £354m to consumers, and reported zero parts to landfill.
