On Wednesday at 3:36 a.m. the National Weather Service issued a lake effect snow warning valid from 10 p.m. until Thursday 7 p.m. for Wayne and Cayuga counties.The weather service says, "Heavy lake effect snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 6 to 9 inches in the most persistent lake snows. Winds gusting as high as 50 mph will produce extensive blowing and drifting snow and near blizzard conditions at times."
