Nvidia-backed Nscale valued at $14.6 billion in fresh funding round

  • Led jointly by Aker ASA and 8090 Industries, the Series C featured Nvidia and included Astra Capital Management, Citadel, Dell, Jane Street, Lenovo, Linden Advisors, Nokia, and Point72, with Goldman Sachs and J.P. Morgan as joint placement agents.
  • Following the round, the company confirmed it has agreed to roll the Aker–Nscale joint venture fully into Nscale, consolidating delivery and governance while keeping projects operational and Øyvind Eriksen, CEO of Aker ASA, on the board.
  • The $2 billion will be used to accelerate global deployments, expand engineering teams, and strengthen the platform, while CEO Josh Payne flags IPO ambitions as early as 2026 amid execution risks building GPU-dense facilities.
