The Minister of Agriculture, Rural Development and Food Production, Bruno Nabagné Koné, took part, on Thursday, 17 April, in the first ministerial meeting of the 34th FAO Regional Conference for Africa. This important meeting was held at the International Conference Centre Al Mourabitoun in Nouakchott, Mauritania, bringing together several African decision makers on the crucial issues related to the future of the continent's agri-food systems.

The Prime Minister, Mukhtar Ould Ajay, this morning in the Palais des Nations, the capital, Nouakchott, oversaw the opening of the thirty-fourth session of the Regional Conference for Africa (ARC34), organized by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), with the broad participation of African ministers, officials and international partners.
