As expected, Norges Bank kept the key interest rate unchanged at 4 percent on Thursday, but expects one to two interest rate cuts next year.
Norges Bank's Monetary Policy and Financial Stability Committee decided at its meeting on 17 December to keep the key interest rate unchanged at 4 per cent. There is uncertainty about the outlook, but if the economy develops roughly as the committee now envisages, the interest rate will be further reduced over the course of next year.
