MOSCOW – Russia wants to build its own answer to Starlink and put hundreds of communications satellites into orbit. But the ambitious Rassvet project has run into serious technical problems. None of the 16 satellites launched in July have yet reached their planned altitude, some have already started to fall again, and at least two are in danger of disappearing in the atmosphere. The problems also affected the previous batch.
