The farmers have been showing their anger for five days against the management of the nodular dermatosis epidemic which leads to the total slaughter of herds. Mercosur's signature would throw oil on the fire, warns the president of the union.
French farmers hostile to the management by the authorities of the contagious nodular dermatosis epidemic (NDC) still block several roads on Tuesday, as well as a train line, a protest movement that also includes hostility at the signing of the EU-Mercosur Free Trade Treaty.

After convening several ministers and prefects in the morning, the head of government announced that he would meet with the agricultural unions in the near future.
Several ministers and prefects are expected in Matignon on 16 December at 10.30 a.m. to discuss the management of the epizootics and the free trade treaty with Mercosur, two hot issues that cripple the profession.
