A staff member and two customers have had to run for their lives after arsonists firebombed a cafe in Melbourne’s southeast while they were in it.

Three people have managed to escape a café in southeast Melbourne after it was firebombed by two arsonists last night. The two arsonists entered inside the Arabian Lounge & Café in Noble Park building and set it alight at 11.40pm. Two customers and a staff member were able escape before the fire started. Staff and customers have fled from a shisha cafe in Noble Park that was allegedly firebombed late on Wednesday 6 August. Two unknown offenders reportedly entered Arabian Lounge and Cafe on Princes Highway about 11.40pm. A staff member and two customers were inside but managed to flee before the offenders allegedly used accelerant to set fire to the establishment, police say. The two offenders fled the scene.
