The person whose presence near two Upton schools prompted the campuses to go on lockdown was a hunter with an unloaded gun, Upton police said Thursday. At around 9:17 a.m., Upton police learned of a suspicious man on Pleasant Street on Glen Avenue, near Nipmuc High School and Blackstone Valley Tech High School, police said in a statement.
