Following an inspection by Governor Anandiben Patel, the KGMU administration in Lucknow has banned the cooking and serving of non-vegetarian food in the hostel mess. Meanwhile, at the Lohia Institute in the capital, a young man's arm had to be amputated after undergoing food pipe surgery, causing an uproar.
