Ukrainian drones attacked Russia’s Kaluga region overnight into October 9, Governor Vladislav Shapsha said. He said Ukrainian forces struck infrastructure in Kaluga but gave no further details. Nine people were injured, five of whom were hospitalized.
In the Kaluga region, 18 more drones were shot down by air defences, as reported by Governor Vladislav Shapsha.
On his account Telegram, the regional governor, Vladislav Chapcha, claimed that "the enemy" had hit infrastructure in Kaluga and its area on the night of Thursday to Friday, causing nine injuries.
