People in Warsaw will not be able to buy alcoholic beverages at convenience stores and gas stations at night from June, according to a nearly unanimous decision by city councilors on Thursday. The restriction, which does not apply to bars and restaurants, has so far been in effect in two districts of the Polish capital on a trial basis.
The Warsaw Council has adopted a resolution introducing a nighttime smoking ban across the entire city. Unless the voivode challenges the regulations, they will take effect on June 1st. Mayor Rafał Trzaskowski has already commented on the decision.
