The main Freemasonry organization in France has elected its new Grand Master of the Grand Orient of France
He is the new face of French Freemasonry. Nicolas Penin, 48, was elected Grand Master of the Grand Orient of France (GODF) by the Order's Councillors meeting in Lille. A specialist in education issues, this native of Béthune was hitherto regional secretary of Unsa-Éduction Hauts-de-France.
Aged 48, with a degree in history from the University of Artois in Arras, the new boss of GODF has made a career in National Education as a senior education advisor.
