NIA raids multiple locations across Kashmir
Officials said the searches aim to collect evidence in an investigation into alleged secessionist propaganda and cross-border links.
- On Saturday and Sunday, the National Investigation Agency , State Investigation Agency , and Counter Intelligence Kashmir conducted coordinated raids across Kashmir, targeting 10 and 5 locations respectively in districts including Poonch, Kulgam, and Bandipora.
- Authorities launched these searches to uncover cross-border terror conspiracies involving Pakistan-based Lashkar-e-Taiba handlers and their alleged network of local Over Ground Workers providing logistical support to infiltrated terrorists.
- Investigators are tracing financial trails and communication logs to identify support network members, while incriminating material secured during the raids undergoes examination and corroboration with existing evidence.
- The SIA and CIK specifically targeted alleged secessionist narratives propagated through social media and online channels. An SIA spokesperson said, "Further details, if any, will be shared upon completion of the search operations."
- These operations represent a continuing effort to dismantle logistical supply chains facilitating cross-border terrorism. The NIA, SIA, and CIK remain focused on identifying all individuals involved in the conspiracy and establishing their respective roles.
