NIA raids multiple locations across Kashmir
Searches in five Jammu and Kashmir locations are aimed at collecting evidence in a case involving alleged secessionist propaganda and cross-border communications, officials said.
- On Saturday, September 12, 2026, the National Investigation Agency and the State Investigation Agency launched coordinated search operations at multiple locations across Kashmir to investigate alleged radicalization and secessionist activity.
- SIA teams targeted five locations in the Mandi and Surankote areas of District Poonch and the Ramnagar area of District Udhampur, focusing on alleged propagation of secessionist narratives through online and offline communication channels.
- Simultaneously, the NIA expanded operations into Kulgam, Bandipora, and Ganderbal districts, supported by local police and security personnel during the morning searches.
- During the investigation, officials identified individuals allegedly communicating with suspicious persons across the Line of Control , prompting the searches to verify relevant materials and evidence.
- While operations remain underway, an SIA spokesperson stated, "Further details, if any, will be shared upon completion of the search operations and assessment of the material recovered.
