Jammu NIA Court Issues NBW Against LeT Commander Linked to Pahalgam, Other Major Terror Acts

NIA said Saifullah supplied weapons, funds and directions to operatives after a busted LeT module and recovered Telegraph IDs linked him to attacks.

  • On Thursday, a special National Investigation Agency court in Jammu issued a non-bailable warrant for Pakistan-based LeT commander Saifullah, linked to major terrorist attacks including the 2025 Pahalgam incident.
  • Following the National Investigation Agency's disruption of a "deep-rooted" LeT module, officials arrested Pakistani terrorist Abdullah, alias Abu Hureira, and accomplices after Police intercepted an operative in Srinagar in March.
  • According to the National Investigation Agency, Saifullah, a resident of Changa Manga, Pakistan, has been "operating from Pakistan and providing weapons, funds and directions to terrorists in the Kashmir Valley," using aliases including Sajid Jatt and Usman Habib.
  • To execute the order, the court forwarded the warrant to the Senior Superintendent of Police, Kulgam, with Saifullah's last known address listed as Yamrach village in South Kashmir under UAPA provisions.
  • Evidence including recovered Telegram IDs links Saifullah to directing attacks on security forces and government establishments; the commander has remained active for over two decades, serving as a terrorist leader in Kulgam district between 2005 and 2007.
