[Yomiuri Shimbun] The election for the mayor of Kishiwada City, Osaka Prefecture, following the loss of his position, took place on the 6th, and new postmaster Hidetoshi Sano (45) won his first election, beating out three other candidates, including former mayor Kohei Nagano (46). During the election campaign, Sano received support from the majority of the 24 city council members, and made street speeches and city council appearances.
