A new transfer of prisoners to the Encuentro Prison took place in the early morning of December 17, 2025.
In the early morning hours of my rcoles, the Armed Forces executed the transfer of inmates under strict security measures, in addition to recent movements towards the penitentiary facility in St. Helena.
It was reported that the prisoners came from prisons in Manabí, Santo Domingo de los Tsáchilas, Los Ríos, El Oro and Guayas.
