New research reveals half of UK women would consider a driverless taxi
New research from Covertime.com found 39% of 1,120 UK licensed drivers would use a driverless taxi, with women showing the strongest interest.
A study by Covertime.com found that 39% of UK licensed drivers are open to using driverless taxis, with 50% of women drivers more enthusiastic than 31% of men.
The biggest barrier for skeptical drivers was a lack of trust in the autonomous technology's reliability.
Tom Warsop, director of marketing at Covertime.com, said public attitudes towards autonomous transport may be shifting faster than expected.
