After more than four years, traffic on the A45 near Lüdenscheid can flow again. Chancellor Merz praised the pace of construction at the inauguration of the new Rahmede Valley Bridge – it should be a model for other projects.
After a four-year closure, the Rahmedetal Bridge near Lüdenscheid has been reopened. Chancellor Merz and other government officials were present at the ceremony. They praised the construction, which was completed ahead of schedule.
Since December 2021 the floodplain Rahmede Valley Bridge on the A45 in the Sauerland was closed. It was rebuilt for 170 million euros. On Monday it will be put back into operation.
In four years, the Rahmede Valley Bridge was rebuilt on the A45. The Federal Chancellor and the Federal Minister of Transport want to come to the opening in the Sauerland.
