In the accident in which pilot Mehmet Demirci lost his life, the first person to reach the injured passenger was mountain climber Hüsnü Kan. Reaching the wreckage area on foot with the JAK teams, Kan’s words at the wreckage were heartbreaking: “I apologize, we were too late.”
It was revealed that the first person to climb to the summit to help with the wreckage of a private plane that crashed in the Kaçkar Mountains was mountaineer Hüseyin Kan. Kan also recorded the moments he spoke to the injured passenger inside the plane.
