New city council raises confirmed

Raises for the new Terrace city council have been confirmed by the outgoing one. The current councillor rate of $23,006.53 a year will increase to $26,000, a rise of 13 per cent, while the salary for mayor increases to $60,000 a year from $48,700, an increase of 23 per cent, as of the new council’s inauguration date of Nov. 4, 2026.
