A national center for alternatives to animal testing is being established in Norway, following the model from Sweden and Denmark. The goal is to replace animal testing with other methods.
The government has decided to establish a national 3R center based on a similar model to that in Sweden and Denmark. In the state budget for 2026, it was decided to strengthen work on alternatives to animal testing with NOK 6 million.
