Fawn Rescued from Sinkhole in Western Washington by WDFW Officers
WDFW PORT TOWNSEND, WA – A black-tailed deer fawn is safe after falling into a sinkhole on a vacant lot in Port Townsend. A neighbor heard the fawn crying and contacted the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife. Officers arrived to find the animal stuck and unable to climb out on its own.
