Sparks City Council Member Joe Rodriguez was arrested early Saturday morning on suspicion of drunk driving after a crash in a state vehicle. He was taken into custody at 3:10 a.m Saturday, Feb. 21, on a charge of DUI above the legal limit, according to the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office inmate search. State Fire Marshal Released After DUI Arrest

(Sparks, NV) — A state fire marshal is now out of jail in Washoe County. Joseph Matthew Rodriguez was arrested on Saturday morning for a misdemeanor DUI charge. He was released later that day. The Nevada Department of Public Safety state fire marshal was allegedly involved in a traffic accident. He’s now suspended from his job, pending an internal investigation. Rodriguez is also a city councilmember in Sparks.
