Nevada Listed as Sanctuary State by Department of Justice

NEVADA, AUG 6 – The Department of Justice labeled Nevada a sanctuary jurisdiction despite no sanctuary laws, risking federal funding and sparking political disputes, with arrests up nearly 300% this year.

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) -- The Department of Justice named Nevada a sanctuary state Tuesday, stating it had "policies, laws, or regulations that impede enforcement of federal immigration laws."
