Netflix to Stream Dragon Ball Super: Beerus Anime
- Netflix announced on Thursday that Dragon Ball Super: Beerus will debut in the United States on October 17. The enhanced remake features a modern retelling of the franchise's first three major arcs.
- Unlike a simple re-release, this production rebuilds the material with fresh cuts, re-rendered visuals, and new sound effects. The series revisits the Beerus, Resurrection 'F', and Universe 6 arcs to modernize the original 2015 anime's presentation.
- Japan will receive the remake first on October 11, creating a six-day gap before the U.S. launch. A New York Comic Con panel on October 8 will feature English voice actors Monica Rial, Jason Douglas, and Ian Sinclair.
- The series features new music, with MEGATERAeZERO performing the opening theme "ONOGAMI." VK Blanka handles the ending theme, "Kan Peki No Peki," providing a fresh soundscape for the production.
- Set after the defeat of Majin Buu, the story functions as a direct sequel to Dragon Ball Z. The project aims to bring the action closer to Akira Toriyama's original vision.
